The authorities did not understand the situation and did not allow her to continue her journey, and she had to return to Montenegro, with a valuable lesson learned about EU travel regulations.

I find the best language app is Duolingo. Did you know that 13.4 million users are downloading this app to their mobile devices in one month? Google Translate is also great as it will not only do the translation for you, but you can do a recording of what you would like to say and the audio-translated version can be heard.

• Tripadvisor: I find Tripadvisor a great app as it also tells me more about the places I am looking at seeing. Finding recommended restaurants and activities.
• Meetup: This is a lovely way to meet people and share meals and information. Very handy if you are a solo traveler.
• Toilet Apps – Doing a great deal of walking and spending hours out exploring, I do need to find a bathroom. There are two that I recommend: Bathroom Scout and Toilet Finder. Make sure you always have some loose change, because in certain countries you often have to pay to use the bathroom.
